• United Kingdom: Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) awarded in August 2007.

The ESP eliminates the need for specialist college assessments, offering a more direct route to registration. The steps include:

1. Primary Source Verification
   Applicants must verify their medical qualifications through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) via the Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials (EPIC).
2. Specialist Registration Application
   Eligible psychiatrists submit their registration application directly to Ahpra and the Medical Board of Australia.
3. Supervised Practice Plan
   Applicants must outline a supervised practice plan, including details about their proposed supervisor and position.

• Completion of assessments to confirm competency in specialist practice.

After successfully meeting these requirements, psychiatrists can apply to have their registration conditions removed, granting them full specialist registration.
