  • Can an IMG graduate apply to ACEM?

    Before applying for a specialist emergency physician jobs in Australia as an international medical graduate specialist (IMGS), it is essential for your qualifications and experience to be evaluated by the ACEM specialist training committee.   • Pursuing a fellowship in Emergency Medicine

    To become an emergency medicine specialist, at least seven years in post-graduate training is expected. This includes two years of basic ED training, one year of provisional training and four years of advanced training in emergency registrar jobs and medicine. After the training modules are completed, an ACEM Fellowship exam is required to finalise your fellowship.

     

    Fellowship is gained in Australia from the specialist qualification known as Fellowship of Australian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM).


    To gain the fellowship of FACEM, the following training and assessments are required within a timeframe of 7 years. The FACEM training assessment are relevant to all practitioners that have completed their training as emergency consultants in Australia.
