An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join the Orthopaedic Department as a Consultant/Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon. The health serves one of the most dynamic and fast-growing communities in regional Australia.

- IMGs assessed by RACS as substantially comparable will be considered
- Conducting outpatient clinics as determined by consultation with the Clinical Director of Orthopaedic services / Divisional Clinical Director and Chief Medical Officer.
- Providing Orthopaedics specialist services
- Providing consultative service to the Emergency and other departments
- Providing Orthopaedics support to community health services
- Pre and post-operative orthopaedic clients
- Upper and lower limbs
- Major joints
- Hip and back problems
- Fractures or acute injuries

Essential:
- The successful applicant will have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon (FRACS) or assessed by RACS as substantially comparable
- Demonstrated research and teaching experience
- Extensive knowledge of Orthopaedic Surgery
- Knowledge of Evidence Based Medicine and Best Practice.
