Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital-wide strategic planning.
- Perform elective and emergency general surgery.
- Conduct outpatient clinics and manage pre/post-operative care.
- Participate in the on-call roster as part of a dedicated surgical team.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and strategic development
- Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent international qualification.
- Proven experience in managing a wide range of general surgical procedures.
- Commitment to teaching, training, and mentoring junior medical staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in elective and emergency general surgery.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to manage complex surgical cases.
- Experience in rural or regional healthcare settings.
