This is a public mental health service delivering specialised inpatient and community-based treatment and care to people living in Melbourne’s south-west region, spanning a catchment area covering Maribyrnong, Hobsons Bay and Wyndham municipalities.
The hospital you will be working in has an acute hospital admission and treatment unit for adult patients living with severe and complex mental illnesses. Mental health services are delivered via a number of inpatient and community programs including acute inpatient, residential rehabilitation, crisis care, community recovery-focused treatment services, and community specialist perinatal mental health services for women and infants.
This role will see you working in the inpatient psychiatric unit. To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience working with patients experiencing psychosocial mental health needs. You will be experienced in the identification and management of a range of mental health issues including psychosis, anxiety, depression, complex post-traumatic stress disorder and risk issues. You will also be willing to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating a compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
