We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Consultant Physician in General Medicine
with a special interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality healthcare in a supportive and collaborative environment while enjoying the benefits of a regional lifestyle.

- Provide expert care in General Medicine and lead Diabetes and Endocrinology services.
- Deliver integrated care across acute, outpatient, and community settings.
- Participate in the on-call physician roster, providing after-hours support to the Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and inpatient units.
- Conduct outpatient clinics, including General Medicine, Diabetes, and Endocrinology clinics.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and medical students, contributing to education and training programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional, patient-centred care.
- Engage in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered or registrable medical qualifications with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent qualifications suitable for an Area of Need appointment.
- Demonstrated expertise in General Medicine, with a strong interest in managing diabetes and endocrinological conditions.
- Proven ability to manage complex medical conditions in acute and community settings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Commitment to patient-centred care, teaching, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.
