Experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist required for 3-6 month contract in Central Australia. The role is to start in the next month (flexible). You’ll be part of a team of clinicians including Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Physiotherapists. You will cover a caseload including:
- Children 0-18 years with development delays in a community setting
- Outreach to remote indigenous communities as part of multidisciplinary team
This role is part of the paediatric team. The caseload is mixed and consists of:
ASD, ADHD, FASD, sensory processing disorder, developmental coordination disorder, specific learning disorders, global developmental delay, sensory/fussy eating challenges, lower GMFCF level Cerebral Palsy, genetic conditions, mild mental health concerns often associated with neurodevelopmental diagnoses, emotional dysregulation, and children with complex social and trauma histories, alongside presenting developmental concerns.
The role is based in Alice Springs with remote outreach work. Services provided use a family centred approach, and included direct therapeutic intervention, parent coaching and education, and completion of required assessments, to assist provision of information to paediatricians to assist diagnosis and accessing NDIS.
The salary ranges from $82,715 - $105,445 + super, there is also potential for casual rates. You’ll work Monday – Friday, 36.75 hours per week. A driving license is required for this role. A car will be provided for work purposes. Accommodation support and travel reimbursement.
